Air Terjun Serendah

Serendah Waterfall. 

This waterfall is about 60km away from Kuala Lumpur and will take approximately 45 minutes to an hour to reach here.  It is located near the orang asli villages and is a good place for picnic and family outing if you have not been here before. There are parking bays available as well as basic facilities such as toilets, changing rooms and shelter with benches.

Genting Highlands

Genting Highlands is an integrated resort development comprising hotels, casinos, shopping malls and a theme park in Pahang, perched on the peak of Gunung Ulu Kali at 1,800 meters high. Nestled near the border of Selangor within an hour's drive from Kuala Lumpur (about 35km), Genting represents a popular weekend getaway from the city heat, connected by major highways, trunk roads and cable car service from Gohtong Jaya.

On a clear day, the peak overlooks lush valleys of rainforest stretching towards KL, a breathtaking view for visitors as they enjoy the cooling weather and serene mountain environment. Also located around Genting in the surrouning valley are many tourist attractions including rustic villages, culinary hotspots, homestay retreats, nature destinations and more.

Genting Highlands was founded by Lim Goh Tong, who arrived at the shores of Malaysia from Fujian, in 1937. Born in 1918, Lim was a young man, only a lowly carpenter while he picked up the local Malay language. For the next few years, he dabbled in vegetable farming and petty trading, but eventually involved himself in the scrap metal and heavy machinery business.

Pulau Ketam

Pulau Ketam is an island at the mouth of the Klang River, near Port Klang, downstream from Kuala Lumpur. It host Chinese fishing villages comprising houses on stilts.

The settlement was established circa 1880 by mainly Teochew and Hoklo (Hokkien) Chinese fishermen. According to a local resident, the settlement experienced a population growth during World War II as Chinese from Taiwan fled the attacking Japanese and settled in Pulau Ketam. The buildings in the floating village are all propped up on stilts which extend up to 10 m below the water's surface. The streets, while appearing like normal paved roads, are similarly supported. Outside the main town, more precarious looking wooden bridges can be found. There are no cars on the island and getting around by bike is the norm, though there are a few motorbikes.

Teochew, Hokkien and Mandarin Chinese are the main dialects spoken. Though English is commonly understood.   source from .
