Danau Maninjau to Bukittinggi

Hari kedua lawatan kami pada 6 Disember 2015 setelah bermalam di Nuansa Resort Tasik Maninjau kami bergerak pula ke Bukittinggi untuk bermalam lagi 2 hari untuk mengunjungi tempat tempat menarik terutama program ke payakumbuh, lembah arau dan tanah datar serta pagaruyung. Beberapa photo yang sempat dirakam semasa dalam perjalanan tersebut ada dibawah ini.

Tasik Maninjau

Tasik Maninjau (Danau Maninjau) ialah sebuah tasik kaldera di Agam, Sumatera Barat, Indonesia. Letaknya 16 km di barat Bukittinggi.

Ramai pelancong terutama dari Malaysia berkunjung ke sini untuk melihat sendiri keindahan suasana pergunungan dan kebersihan air di Tasik Maninjau. Terdapat juga aktiviti paragliding di sini.

Di sinilah tempat kelahiran ulama tersohor, Hamka. Museum Rumah Kelahiran Buya Hamka terletak di sini.

The Maninjau caldera was formed by a volcanic eruption estimated to have occurred around 52,000 years ago. Deposits from the eruption have been found in a radial distribution around Maninjau extending up to 50 km to the east, 75 km to the southeast, and west to the present coastline. The deposits are estimated to be distributed over 8500 km² and have a volume of 220–250 km³. The caldera has a length of 20 km and a width of 8 km.

Lake Maninjau has an area of 99.5 km², being approximately 16 km long and 7 km wide. The average depth is 105 m, with a maximum depth of 165 m. The natural outlet for excess water is the Antokan river, located on the west side of the lake. It is the only lake in Sumatra which has a natural outlet to the west coast. Since 1983 this water has been used to generate hydroelectric power for West Sumatra, generated around 68 MW at maximum load.

Istana Bukit Serene

Some activities at compound of The Istana Bukit Serene. Located in Bukit Serene, Johor Bahru. It faces the Straits of Johor and thus, has a bird's eye view towards Singapore. There are two roads that pass around the palace ground. They are Jalan Kolam Air and Jalan Straits View. 

Desaru

Desaru is a beach and resort area in Johor, Malaysia. It is located approximately 88 kilometers east of Johor Bahru, on the South China Sea. It is a very popular weekend escape for residents of Singapore who come to enjoy the attractive 25 km stretch of beaches and splendid golf courses. The Desaru Golf & Country Resort is a popular establishment here.

Located near this beach is a town, Bandar Penawar, at which there are various Malaysian boarding schools including Sekolah Menengah Sains Kota Tinggi, Sekolah Sukan Bandar Penawar and Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Agama Bandar Penawar.

The Senai-Desaru Expressway will connect Desaru to Johor Bahru in 45 minutes, compared to the present two hours.

Cukur jambul merupakan adat resam masyarakat Melayu di Malaysia 40 hari selepas kelahiran bayi. Sambutan tidak disambut selepas kelahiran kerana sang ibu masih belum lepas pantang atau belum sihat. Sesetengah tempat memangil adat Melayu ini sebagai:
